CATCH UP ON THE GROWTH. What is missed is not really lost!

As Horlicks has introduced its very new product, we are looking forward to all it has, to catch up on the market.  A bright interactive evening hosted by Indigblogger, was an overwhelming platform for Horlicks to reach the bunch of enthusiast bloggers from widespread areas of interests.

Mr. Amaan Khan, Marketing Lead of Horlicks for India Sub continent, unveiled the product launch followed with a promising introduction. Mr. Khan along with an expert on nutritional health, helped categorizing Nutrient Deficiencies into two broad segments. Type 1 cover Deficiency of Functional Nutrients/Micro Nutrients whereas Type 2 talks about Macro/ Growth Nutrients. The product, Horlicks Growth+ was an initiative to focus on catching up the lost growth for children within the age bracket of 3-9 years (i.e. Typ2 Deficiency), who have not been able to attain a normal growth in terms of height & weight during their initial years. These kids fall under 10 percentiles of the growth chart and Growth+ is a complimentary benefit with a nutrient composition of six major ones (Proteins, Fat, Vitamin, Minerals & Fiber) mixed with water.

“Anxious Mother” was not only a phrase used for the promotion but evidently as the discussion grew up, it turned out to be a major parenting concern.

So, here’s a sneak view to a panel discussion over “Dietetic Nutrition for Children & Importance of Right Growth”. This panel was chaired by the esteemed guests of honor – Dr. Rajiv Chhabra (Pediatrician), Ms Satinder Kaur Walia (Child Psychologist) , Dr. Jyoti Arora (Dietician) ,Natasha Badhwar (a seasoned media professional and columnist). This discussion helped the audience to relate to the benefits & the necessity of introducing a supplementary diet like Growth+ into a child’s life.

The discussion was intended to through the inevitable light on estimating that how much of it is a child’s physical / mental need & how much of it is what the parents have really missed. We reached to the point where Dr. Rajiv quoted that over-reliance to milk is not good for a child’s growth as it can cause deficiency of several other nutrients causing harmful symptoms like Anemia.  Much sooner than this was quoted, Dr. Jyoti & Ms. Walia both shared their individual maternal instincts towards “Child Based Parenting” which focus more towards Parenting based on instincts. Accordingly, parents should prefer the kind of a diet for their children that help them stand strong over their psychological needs.

After an interactive session with the audience, the panel was further laying emphasis to answer some queries related to the factors that influence a child’s eating & picking habits. Social media, peer pressure & the embedded family culture were being picked as the most impactful tools, which eventually reflect a child’s eating & picking habits.

This & many more will help reduce the risk of having your child being affected by lost growth, malnutrition, obesity & many such silent epidemic health traits. But a smart decision can eventually help reduce a lot more of the concerns & caution. Horlicks Growth+ definitely sounded promising towards its objective and not to forget the taste was affirmative, by all good means.
